Dr. Diwakar Kinra, hailing from Flint, Michigan, graduated from the University of Michigan's School of Dentistry in 1999. After a stint in private practice, he pursued a master's degree in endodontics from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 2002. Returning home in 2004, he established a solo endodontic practice in Flint. Since 2005, he's been an advocate for clinical endodontics and practice management, speaking at over 20 universities globally. He also holds a dual role as an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit-Mercy. Outside of work, Dr. Kinra cherishes family time with his children and engages in outdoor activities like tennis and snowboarding.
DR. BRETT GILBERT
Endodontist, King Endodontics, Chicago, IL
Dr. Brett E. Gilbert, a skilled endodontist, earned his DDS from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2001 and his Endodontics Certificate in 2003. He's a clinical assistant professor in Endodontics at the University of Illinois-Chicago's College of Dentistry and affiliated with Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Former President of the Illinois Association of Endodontists and the NW Side Branch of Chicago Dental Society, he was recognized as a Top Ten Young Dental Educator in America by the Seattle Study Club in 2017. Dr. Gilbert is board-certified and operates a thriving private Endodontics practice in Niles, IL.
KIM BROWNELL
Vice President of Corporate Development, Specialized Dental Partners
Kim Livesay Brownell holds the position of Senior Director of Corporate Development at Specialized Dental Partners. With over 20 years of experience in the field of endodontics, Kim began her journey in 1999 with Dentsply Sirona Endodontics, the world's largest endodontic company. Throughout her career, she has been committed to enhancing patient care and advancing the specialty through innovative education programs and thought leadership development. Kim's leadership was instrumental in guiding Specialized Dental Partners from its inception in 2018, steering it successfully through the challenges of the COVID pandemic and achieving its inaugural recap event in 2021. Alongside her professional achievements, Kim is a devoted mother of three boys and enjoys shared family interests in sports, cooking, and travel. She is also the host of the popular podcast "The Endo Files" and has contributed as a Public Sector Trustee for the AAE Foundation for Endodontics.
